Logical Reasoning은 section 2개에 걸쳐 있어 LSAT의 절반을 차지하는 중요한 영역으로 LSAT의 성패를 가늠하는 파트라고 해도 과언이 아니다.
1) Logical Analysis
논점의 이해 , 분석 , 비판 능력을 측정하는 문제로 비교적 여러 가지 짤막한 문장들을 제시하고 이에 대한 논점의 이해 , 전제 조건의 발견 , 결론의 도출 , 논리 전개의 보충 , 명제의 적용 , 논리 전개 방식 , 논제의 평가 및 분석 등을 요구하는 다양한 형태의 문제가 출제된다 .

2) Evaluation of Facts and Rules
가상적인 사건과 상황을 제시하여 당사자간의 분쟁을 상정한 후, 기본적으로 주어진 4가지의 규정이 특정한 issue에 어떻게 적용될 것인가를 묻는 문제이다. 이는 주어진 상황의 정확한 인식과 그 상황에서 해결을 요하는 issue에 대하여 어떠한 규정을 정확히 적용할 것인가의 능력을 측정하기 위한 것이다.
