People can gain knowledge by themselves if there’s instruction given; however, to learn about something more specific, it is good to have teachers all the time.
First, teachers can bring their varied and useful backgrounds. They've been trained to teach individuals in different ways, depending on what they’ve learned or experienced. For instance, some students would learn better by discussing topic, while others would learn more by writing about it. Teachers can help students to learn in many ways and find the best for each student. A good teacher can adapt their teaching style to your needs.
Second, teachers can help you to focus on what you're learning. If you're learning about a subject by yourself, it’s easy for you to get distracted; however, teachers can keep your attention on the subject until the lesson is finished. They also approach a subject logically, taking it one step at a time. On your own, it can be tempting to skip parts of the learning process that you think you don’t need to know. That hinder your ability to actually understand the subject.
Learning a subject on your own is a limiting choice. You can only use the information you have in your textbook; however, teachers can help you with this problem, because teachers can use their knowledge. In addition, teachers can provide extra materials to broaden the scope of what you're learning.
There's nothing wrong with studying on your own. Even learners can benefit from some quiet study. For the best possible learning, though, a good teacher can be the biggest helper that you can have.
