▶ Your Answer : It is debatable
whether studying art and literature is more important for students than
studying math and science. This is an intriguing question because opinions
regarding this issue can be different relying on individual perspectives. In my
opinion, however, I support that studying art and literature is more beneficial
for students studying math and science.
First of all,
students should study art and literature because it broadens students’
perspectives. To be specific, studying arts and literature, especially foreign
countries’, exposes students to exotic and aesthetic experiences, which make
students better understand other cultures, lifestyles, and perspectives. As
modern society is becoming increasingly globalized, today’s world requires
people with international views. Students can do this better by studying arts
and literature of various countries. For example, Steve Jobs, who is the
founder of Apple, made great accomplishments in his lifetime. I read online
that he was very successful because he was global-minded and culturally
sensitive. He was able to do this by looking for various exotic arts and
literature. Therefore, this shows that students should lean literature and arts
in order to broaden their views.
In addition, it
is more beneficial for students to study arts and literature because it
helps to relieve stress. In other words, appreciating arts and literature makes
people enjoy the fantastic and wonderful aesthetic feeling, which as a result
allows students to better manage stress, maintain health, and build quality lives.
Stress is the main cause of disease and dissatisfying life. Therefore, people
in modern society should actively find ways to reduce stress. For example, when
I was younger, I was fortunate enough to appreciate great literature and arts.
Watching and reading fantastic novels and portrayals helped me forget about
stressful aspects of my day such as studying for the college entrance exam.
Through this experience, I realized that arts and literature are very
advantageous to relieve stress. Hence, this shows that students should study
arts and literature in order to lead a healthy and fulfilling life.
In conclusion, I
firmly believe that students should learn arts and literature rather than
studying science and math. All things considered, it is my belief that my
argument regarding this topic has been effectively and precisely delivered with
the reasons mentioned above. Never should we forget that this issue may have a
huge impact on our future. |
