▶ Your Answer :
There might be some people who believe that
serious and strict teachers are more effective than humorous and easygoing.
However, I personally disagree with above the idea for two subsequent reasons.
Firstly, a humorous teacher can improve students’ academic performance more
effectively. Secondly, an easy going teacher can give more suitable advice and
instructions. First, students’ grades can be more
improved by a humorous teacher. To be specific, students naturally like
humorous classes. A humorous teacher can convey knowledge much better by making
students interested in the subject. However, if strict teachers teach subjects
to students, students may be not only nervous but also scared despite the
subject that students like. Let me bring up my story as an example. When I was
a freshman in high school, I really hated English at first. Since my English
teacher was really strict and serious. He was always up set and only taught
English to us by a textbook. I was so boring and hated English and English
class. Next year, however, I met a new English teacher. She was humorous and
easygoing and tried to teach us by funny and easy methods. She brought a
variety of English novels to us and played English games with us. I ended up no
only taking good grade of English but also liking English. If I had not met the
English teacher who is humorous and easygoing, I would have hated English until
now.
Secondly, an easygoing teacher can give
more suitable advice and instructions. This is because a teacher should have a
good understanding of their students’ needs and character by having a good
relationship with them. Easygoing teachers are more approachable, so students
can ask questions more comfortably. On the other hand, students are hard to
talk about their story to serious
teachers. Since students think that the teachers might be annoyed for them. When
I was senior in high school, I had to make important decisions about my future.
I had to choose a major and apply for undergraduate school. My homeroom teacher
was very kind and easygoing. He really loved students and always listened to
carefully students’ problem. So I went to teacher’s room in order to talk about
my concerns. He greeted me with smile and advised me kindly and sincerely. It
helped me to make wise decisions. I enjoy studying my major thanks to him.
In conclusion, humorous and easygoing
teachers not only help students to receive better grades but also become good
advisors for students. For this regard, I strongly agree with the statement
that a teacher who is humorous and easygoing is more effective that a teacher
who is serious and strict.
