Most of the
parents want to help their child become successful in the future, but there are
some conflicts about how to educate them properly. Some people might think that
using strict rules to their children is extreme approach which should be
avoided. However, I disagree with this belief. Strict rules can help children
learn how to behave properly and these rules will help children foster
beneficial habits.
First, strict
rules are necessary to help children learn good behaviors or ethics. This
process is especially important because when they hear from their parents why
they should follow the rules, the rules become a part of their conscience which
will benefit them all the way through their life. This will help them decide
which is correct behavior and which is not. For example, when I was a little
child, I frequently violated some rules such as lying. So, my parents punished
me and always explained why I should follow the rules. That helped me learn how
to avoid lying to others.
Second reason
why strict rules are necessary when parents teach their children is that these
rules help children foster good habits which will help them become successful.
This is proved by a research done by a professional organization. A group of
researchers studied 10 children who are grown in a comparatively strict
atmosphere and other 10 children who are relatively free from rules. They
tracked these children to find out difference between these two group. The
result was that children who grew under strict rules were much more successful
in their career and lived more organized life than the other group.
To
conclude, I believe that teaching children with strict rules is more beneficial
than the other way around. First of all, this help children learn how to behave
in a correct way. In this way, they can grow their conscience and decide what
is ethical and what is not. The other reason is because children grew under
stricter atmosphere have greater chance to make good habits. |
