▶ Your Answer : Some people think that teacher evaluation should be evaluated by other teachers. However, in my opinion, students must assess the teacher evaluation. There are two reason. The first reason is that teachers can develope their learning skills. the other reason is that teacher evaluation from other teachers is not objective compared to that from students. To begin with, students' assessment enable their teachers to adjust or enhance the method of teaching. When students evaluate their teachers, they will score teachers' attitude in the class and some of those students will write down what they are hoping to their teachers. Then, teachers can find out what they shoul do to satisfy their students and give efforts to modify their teaching skills. To elucidate my suggestion, I will take a study as an example. There was a study conducted by the Ministry of Education in Korea to determine whether teacher evaluation by students could affect the students' satisfaction level of their class. There were two groups monitored. The first group was formed of studnts who don't evaluate teachers by themselves. They were asked to take tests to measure their level of satisfaction with calss. The other group consisted of students who assess teachers and were given the same direction. The researchers compared the outcomes and recorded that the latter group has significantly higher satisfaction with their classes and teachers. The reason was that teachers who recieved stuedents' evaluation tried to modify their method of education to increase the quality of classes. This study demonstrates that teacher evaluation from students can be a driving force to develope the class. On top of that, if teachers evaluate other teachers, the result of assessment will be subjective. Since they don't know well about the way other teachers are teaching and the class atmosphere. In addition, they may add their private feeling to a specific person. Flankly this issue can be quite controversial. I do admit that students also can assess their teachers subjevtively. However, I believe that student's opinions are more reliable because the number of students is far greater than that of teachers. To sum up, by letting students evaluate their teacher, teacher's method of education can be developed. Moreover, students' assessments are more objective than teachers' In this regard I firmly belive that students should evaluate teachers.
