Various opinions may exist over the argument that which one is the most important thing to success in university. As far as I am concerned, I believe a support and encouragement from family and friends have more benefits than other factors. The two ideas below can be valid evidence to support my view.
Supports from family, especially a financial support shows outstanding effectiveness for improving results of studying in a university. Nowadays students should spend a lot of money for university lives, such as a tuition, rental fee, and living cost. Some students have a part time job and works in school to pay this cost by themselves. On the other hand, students who received this money from their family are able to save the time for labors and they can more focus on their major and class. In general, the returns of study are directly proportional to an investing time for it. Obviously, this financial support help student to acquire an enormous success in a university. According to a post by a renowned sociologist, Simon Choi from YUK(Youngnam University of Korea), an income of parents is directly connected to an education of their children. He also mentioned that a high income could result in excellent returns because children are affected by the difference in educational quality. He concluded that this tendency is already prevalent in our society and it will be intensified in the future.
On top of that, students can find emotional relief by an encouragement from friends because it is effective for boosting their moods. Many students today get weary with too much stress since a study in university is really complicated and needed a long time for their research. Therefore, this stress has become the biggest barrier to success and it makes students feel anxiety about their campus lives. By encouragement from friends and strong relationships with them, however, students can temporarily forget their problems and gain some breathing space. Moreover, students and their friends can take care each other to overcome their stress and lead other people to attain a great gift from their university lives. An anonymous poll conducted by Facebook Survey Page supports my viewpoint. The poll surveyed 1,000 Koreans between age 20 to 30 along with questionnaires. When they were asked about a difficulty of university lives, more than 70 percent of the respondents answered that the stress was the worst thing during their university period. Some people also commented that if they could not escape from the horrible situation, they would fail not only in university but also on getting a job.
To sum up, I believe that my explanations above sufficiently prove the advantage of a financial support from family and an encouragement by friends. Obviously, the significance of having more time for studying and relieving stress cannot be overemphasized enough. Hence, in order to acquire these benefits, students should keep in mind the importance of family and friends.
