There might be some people who think that recommendation from friends or information from magazines are main factors to consider when buying important things. However, I personally disagree with the above ideas for two subsequent reasons. First, using reviews from online communities is convenient. Second, it is possible to get a lot of information through online communities.
To begin with, searching reviews from online communities is convenient. To be specific, people these days are always so busy due to their everyday routines, so they don’t have much time to contact to friends or skim magazines to know about products. However, with online communities, people can find reviews about anything very easily. Let me bring up my personal story as an example. Few days ago, I had to buy a new microwave, but I didn’t have enough time to ask about it to friends and borrow or buy some magazines. Therefore, I chose to find reviews from online communities with my smartphone. As a result, I could find information about adequate microwaves in 10 minutes at my bed very conveniently. Without online communities, I would have had to use more time and effort to find information.
On top of that, there are a lot of reviews at online communities. What this means is that it is possible to find diverse reviews about products, so people can consider various opinions of products from negative opinions to positive opinions about products. According to a recent survey done by JYP Institution, a majority of the respondents said that they can do satisfying shopping with reviews from online communities. They said that the reviews are always helpful for them to consider a major purchase because of divers opinions and information about products. This clearly shows that reviews from online communities can give considerable impact on people.
In conclusion, reviews from online communities not only are convenient, but also can give a lot of information. In this regard, I personally believe that it is beneficial for people to search reviews from online communities when doing a major purchase. |
