are some disagreements over whether or not children are suggested to study a
wide range of subjects, such as math and language. Some people believe that
studying the subjects would provide students the opportunity to improve their
ability early. My view, however, is that it is wrong to force them to study the
subjects. This is because they can be stressed out. Moreover, their parents can
have financial difficulty.
To
begin with, children would feel tensioned when they are imposed to study a wide
array of subjects. To acquire a lot of knowledge from the subjects, children
should spend a myriad of time studying the academic subjects. This means that
there is less enough time for them to play and relieve their stress. Moreover,
they should concentrate on studying the subject that they have no interest. The
compulsion would make them have a pressure. According to the study conducted by
a team at Korea University, the research revealed that more than two-third three of
examined children felt tensioned when they studied uninteresting academic
subject. They did not know about why they had to study mundane subject because
they were young. The recognition motivated the level of stress to be increased.
As a result, the researchers concluded that children had to focus on studying
the subjects that they are interested in.
In
addition, being required to study a wide variety of subjects would make parents
to make financial burden. If parents with low-income should support for
children to study the subjects, it would be not easy for parents to spend a lot
of money for their children in comparison to parents with high-income. This is
due to the fact that they should pay additional money for their children within
the limited income. For instance, in Republic of Korea, most of parents have a
tendency to compel their children to study a great number of subjects early.
The competitive society made it hard for children who parents did not want for
them to study the subjects because of exorbitant expenditure to compete with
their classmates who went to a academyic. Therefore, parents with low-income had
no choice but to send for their children to an academyic despite of inordinate
expenditure.
To
summarize, children would be stressed out when they study uninteresting
subjects, and their parents would suffer from financial issues. Considering the
above two reasons, it is evident that children are not forced to study art and
music, in addition to math, language, science, and history.
