▶ Your Answer :
Undoubtedly, when people decide to purchase
product what they want, many factors have an effect on their decision. Some
people think that information from magazines and online communities is the crucial
factor for buying products, while others do not. Both sides may have their
reasons to support their views. On the other hand, of the three options, if I had
to choose one, I would say that friends’ recommendation has the greatest
influence on my decisions. There are several reasons as follows.
To begin with, your friends with same
tastes can provide appropriate information about the product that you want to
purchase. Friends are suitable to recommend because they are same age, and
similar opinions against the products. This trend is likely to bring a positive
attitude toward product which you want to buy. For instance, when I was in a
high school, I wanted to buy a computer for playing games. However, I didn’t
know the computer well enough to purchase. My friend gave an advice to purchase
computer online shopping mall and he also estimated the computer price. He knew
my preference, so he recommend computer that suits for me. If I obtained the
information on internet or magazines, I might not buy computer that I want. It
was a very helpful advice, and I appreciate to my friend. Without my friends
advice, I would have chosen that computers and regretted it.
On top of that, people who receive the
products’ recommendation from friends can purchase product with a sense of
fulfillment. When people are gathering the information using other method, they
can obtain the biased information about product. This information is likely to
make a wrong decision to purchase product. To be specific, Stanford University
conducted a survey on people’s satisfaction when they purchase products. They
found a huge difference between two groups of young adults. One group was made
up of those who consider a major purchase from friends recommendation, and the
other group was composed of those who made decisions from online or magazines.
The first group tended to have more satisfaction, while the latter group was
likely to have complaints about their purchase. This indicates that
recommendation from friends is more powerful than other method when people
decide to buy things.
All things considered, I believe that
friends recommendation have a great effect on a major purchase, as you can show
in my experience, and survey data. All in all, when people consider an important
purchase, they need to be more serious and careful about their decisions. |
