Various
opinions may exist over the argument that people nowadays find it easier to
become educated than before. As far as I am concerned, I am in complete
agreement with the argument. The two ideas stated below can be valid to support
my view.
First
of all, people today have more opportunity of education compared to the past.
In the past, people can only gain information through books or from elderlies,
so they can only narrow information. However, now we can easily gain
information through the Internet or we can go to academy to learn what we want
easily and there are no limitations if we have passion to learn about things. I
can explain this from my personal experience. When I was elementary school
student, I could not have opportunity to learn about computers. At that time, I
wanted to learn how to use computer since I thought they are so convenient and
useful once I am used to it, but I could not gain information about computer
and there were no academies to learn. However, after ten years, as the
importance of computer increased, I could have opportunity to learn about
computer through the Internet and I think it is very useful in this busy world.
On
top of that, there were many limitations for education in the past, but they
are all eliminated nowadays. In the past, people who have high social rank only
have educational opportunity. However, as time went by, the chance of learning
are provided for all people. Now, all people can learn everything they want
regardless of their gender, wealth, handicapped or not. According to the Korea
Literacy Center, there were many illiteracy people after the Korea War was
over. Overwhelming ninety percent of people did not read or write Korean at
that time. These days, however, it is different. Only five percent of people
are illiteracy because the opportunity of education has widen over time and
now, most of people in the Korea can read and write Korean. This study proves
that my argument is convincing.
To
sum up, concerning the fact that \increased opportunity of education and remove
of limitations in the past into the consideration, I believe my explanations
above sufficiently prove my argument that people today find it easier to become
educated than before.
