▶ Your Answer :
The
speaker disagrees with the author’s idea that the origin of the domestication
of the dogs, arguing that the origin is misunderstood in many areas.
First,
the speaker explains that he doesn’t believe that the dogs are from wolf pups. When wolves hunt, they are chasing down
their prey and it is very hard to cooperate with wolves.
They are not only easy to tame, but also
dangerous to human. This is in opposition to the author’s opinion that dogs
evolved from wolves and human tamed them to hunt together.
Second,
the speaker maintains that dog species have a
much longer history of domestication than 16,000 years. The researchers found
their footprints and they concluded that they were tamed (from) 26,000 years
ago. This is in contrast to the author’s idea that dogs were domesticated
16,000 years ago.
Third,
the speaker says that dogs’ origin of domestication is not from China. The researchers found dogs’ bones in
four other distinct places which are conspicuous clue that there were other original places. This differs from the
author’s view that human domesticated the dogs in China first and then
dispersed to other places.
