▶ Your Answer :
There is some argument over whether or not
universities should spend as much money on sports as they do on libraries. Some
people prefer investing money in libraries because they believe that it makes
student stimulate to help study hard. However, in my opinion, spending money on
sports is more preferable. This is because sports activities improve student’s
physical health as well as enhance their social skills.
To begin with, sports
activities lead to promoting student’s healthier lifestyles. Of course, funding
library might motivate student’s academic study more diligently. But it is no
secret that sedentary habits are not helpful for student’s physical health ability.
To give a personal example, my mom used to spend most of her time in the
library studying. Consequently, she began to gain diseases and obesity so she
had to fix her wrong lifestyle by her doctor advice. As a result, she started
to exercise in gym and she earned more vigor and she altered her sedentary
lifestyle. From my mother’s account, it is essential for university to aid in student’s
physical health.
Second of all, on-campus
sports activities foster student’s interpersonal skills. Most of team sports such
as soccer, Football and baseball require teamwork. Unless even one person
cooperate in team, it could be hard to retain as a team. For instance, when I
was in high school, I always wanted to join in club with alone. However, for
some mistake, I need to complete a football club to graduate. At first, I was
not sure to interact with others but as time goes on, I find myself dogmatic and
I try to change myself to communicate with my team members. Eventually, we
award a football competition hosted by my high school principal and I became to
reinforce my social skills
To sum up,
investing fund in students is inevitable for universities because it not only motivate
student to improve their physical ability but also help to aid one another..
For these reasons, I believe that reluctant to spend money on sport activities
is not beneficial for students.
