▶ Your Answer :Recently, general awareness about where leadership
comes from has aroused heated arguments. People, nevertheless, have conflicting
idea. Some people say that everyone can become a leader others deem otherwise.
From my own point of view, I am in agreement with the former point. This is
because people can foster leadership in life and leadership is composed of experiences.
The first reason for my opinion is that people
can develop their skills necessary to leadership throughout life. This is
because we can learn a lot of knowledge and skills of leaders, such as CEO,
presidents and even professor by observing them around us all the time. In
other words, by watching how they act and speak when leading people, we can
come to realize how to become a leader like them. I want to elucidate my past
experience to support the point. While in university I took a philosophy class.
When I entered the classroom, I was so surprised that there were numerous
students who I had expected. So, I was worried about if the class could be run.
However, the professor made it possible for all students to focus on the class.
Furthermore, as dividing the class into groups, students could get
opportunities to participating in discussion, which was the most important factor
in studying philosophy. As observing the professor, not only I realized which ability
leader should have but also I was motivated to a leader such like him.
Another equally important reason is that
leadership is created with experience. To be specific, to lead people, it is
important for leader to understand other and encourage them. Participating in
diverse activities or meeting many people in life provides with opportunities for
people to broaden their perceptive on life and open their eyes to new aspects, which
make it easier for people to know person and motivate he or her. For example,
there is poll conducted by the Korean Economy Board with CEOs who run companies
in the top 100 of Korea as respondents. The purpose of the survey is to demonstrate
which factor make a good leader. The majority of respondents ranked experience
over other factors. This is because experience generates many activities and
encounter people, which make people versatile. As a result, people can
understand people and emphasize with them more.
To sum up, people can develop requirements
to leader and leader is created with experience.
Looking at the statements above, there are
many reasons to be considered, but at the end of the day, I would rather
consist that everyone are able to be leader. |
