There is an argument that it is harmful for some students studying while they do other things other than studying. In fact, I strongly disagree with this idea. To begin with, most people would agree that using cell phone or the Internet is very informative to get information. To explain, students can question about some knowledge that are not explained clearly in the books. Then, they should use cell phone and the Internet so that they get immediately a detailed information that they need. Thus, the Internet or cell phone often offer students more useful materials than the books. For example, when I was in high school, I often studied with my cell phone. I could obtain useful data by searching cell phone anywhere and any time. Therefore, this helped me understand the difficult materials easily. In short, searching materials by using device like cell phone and computer during learning time has positive influence on students. Another important point to remember is that a little noise is helpful for studying. Basically, it is better for students to concentrate in a little crowded environments while talking about learning with friends or listening music. Rather, they could be distracted in quite environments. For instance, my brother used to be negligent in studying when he studied in his room alone. However, since he joined in a study group and often studied in a cafe together, he has changed little by little. He started to spend more time doing homework and concentrate better in studying. The reason was that he could talk about difficult contents with friends and enjoy studying while he listened to songs that he likes in the cafe. This brings about better outcomes at school. To sum up, it is helpful for students' learning to communicate with others and listening musics. In conclusion, it is reasonable to say that students could study well while doing other things. |
