In Korea, there is an old saying
which states “Gathering dusts will make a huge mountain”. Likewise, the
previous stage is required to achieve next stage. This concept also applied to the
topic. There might be some people who believe that airplanes have made a
greater impact on society than cars. However, I personally disagree with the
above idea for two subsequent reasons. First, cars started industrial
development in earnest, and second, they ultimately help economy going well
than airplanes.
First of all, cars help societies to
make enhancement. To be specific, even airplanes would not be invented without
the invention of cars. As cars enables people to move heavy materials, it
accelerates working processes. Without cars, the whole industry process might
be slowed down, and airplanes were probably not to be made. Let me bring up my
story as an example. As an art student, I often made huge scale of artworks. To
make those artworks, I needed to carry a bunch of materials. Obviously, it was
tough for me to move all those items to studio. However, as one of my friends
gave me a hand by driving her car to carry the materials, I was able to finish
my project successfully. Without small part, a car, the bigger part, an
airplane, might not be invented.
On top of that, cars make more
contribution to money flow. This is because cars have various forms, not only
personal cars, but also transportation such as taxi, bus, or truck. As
individuals use these vehicles in everyday life, it enables capitals to circulate
through the society. This phenomenon cannot be stimulated with airplanes.
According to a research done by economic professor in Korean University, comparing
money spend a day in major cities of Korea of cars and airplanes, the figures
appear as $7.64 billion and $5.86 billion respectively. It clearly illustrates
that cars doing more significant role in economy.
To sum up, cars not only played
important role in industrial revolution in the past, but also contributing to
current society’s economy. In this regard, I strongly claim that cars have made
a greater influence on society than airplanes.
