▶ Your Answer : Some peopl think that smart devices, such as laptops and smartphones are not helpful for students to study. However, in my opinion, I absolutely agree with the statement that students can learn more efficiently by using these smart devices. One reason is that they help students save a lot of money, and another reason is that they help student manage their time efficiently First of all, smart devices help students save so much money. This is because they can provide students with various inexpensive study tools, and they are sometimes even free! To be specific, students are able to take relatively cheap online lectures or make use of free study applications by using handy laptops or smart phones. This is very important, especially for students, because students usually have tight budgets and lots of things to study every day. I would like to take my personal experience to make my point. When I was in college, I prepared for TOEFL in the university library, by taking online lectures offered by univerity, with my compact laptop computer. Even though I had a tight buget at that time, I was able to afford the internet courses because they were not expensive to me. If I had gone to a off-line private English academy, I should have spent so much money for the off-line TOEFL lecture and it would not have been affordable for me. In addition, I was able to correct my pronunciation with a English talking application for free. Furthermore, smart devices help students save so much time in studying. This is because, with mobile smart devices, students can study whenever and wherever they wan. In fact, they definitely help students manage their time more efficiently. I would like to take my personal experience again. When I was in highschool, I used to study English on the subway when commuting from home to school. And, I was able to study on the crowded and noisy subway because I can utilize my handy smartphone in hearing, reading, speaking English. Due to my smartphone, my English speaking ability really improved when I graduated highschool. In this regard, I strongly agree with the idea that smart devices are very helpful and beneficial for students when they study or learn something. and I belive that my personal experiences mentioned above are good examples for this idea. |
