▶ Your Answer :
Paper books and e-books are the subject of controversy in these
days. Some people think printed books will used over twenty years later.
However, I don’t think like that. I strongly believe that e-books will replace
printed books. There are two reasons for that, and I will explain those reasons
in this essay.
First of all, today, young people more prefer electric
media than analogue stuffs. They have been raised in the information age, thus
most of them are tech-savvy. For those people, e-books are more comfortable
than printed books. There is one research conducted by Seoul National
University in 2016 which firmly supports this current. According to the research,
77 percent of the twenties prefer e-books than paper books. Moreover, one
respondent mentioned that he did not buy any paper books after he met e-books.
Obviously, twenty years later, majority of people will be used to digital
methods, and printed books will slowly disappear.
Secondly, e-books are much more convenient
than paper books. Above all things, e-books are very light. They can carry so many
books in digital form, even though there are one hundred books in one device. For
example, my friend usually uses e-books. Our major textbooks are too many, also
too heavy. Therefore, many students carry those books hardly. However, my friend
always carry them easily because she only needs one tablet. I felt envy of her,
so next semester, I bought a tablet and used e-books. Undoubtedly, it was so
convenient. I didn’t need to carry many paper books. In this regard, I believe
that e-books are more comfortable than printed books, and they will be used to
most people in the future.
To
sum up, e-books have many advantages in comparison with paper book; young
people prefer digital means, and e-books are so convenient. For these reasons,
I strongly believe the above statement. |
