▶ Your Answer :
Various opinions may exist over the
argument whether it is better to solve problems by gaining advice from others
than using one's own experience or knowledge. As far as I am concerned, I am
complete agreement with the argument. There are two reasons why.
First and foremost, advice from others, especially parents, allows
people to solve problems more wisely. Parents who have lived a long time have
already experienced many things in life, and thus they have a bigger view on
diverse issues. Consequently, gaining advice from them are likely to bring
about a better result when we address some problems. For example, when I was in
high school, I was a leader of my class. At that time, I have a huge
misunderstanding that led to fight with one of my classmate. Thus, I decided
not to speak with him. So I fell out with my friend. My parents suggested that
I should apologize him first to solve the problem. Eventually, I apologized him
first and realized that I have a big misunderstanding about him. Thanks to the
advice from my parents, I was able to solve the problem well and now get along
well with him. Therefore, advice from others is helpful to solve problems.
On
top of that, others can be more objective and give more wise solution in some
situation. When people face problems, many people are easily embarrassed and
confused in the situation. Parents or friends as a outsider can give wise
suggestions to people since they are not in the problematic situation. My
personal experience can be used to support my view. Last year, my cousin was
severely hurt due to car accident. So I was so frustrated and embarrassed. I
was in a panic and did not have any idea to deal with the situation. My friend
directly called an ambulance and he was able to be treated. Without his help,
my cousin would not have been cured properly. Therefore, gaining advice from
others is better.
In conclusion, considering the reasons and
examples mentioned above, I strongly believe that gaining advice from other to
solve problems is more beneficial than using only own's knowledge and
experience. | |
