Although there is no complete consensus that has been
reached on this topic, yet I would like to take a stance and make my agreement
with the thesis that school cafeterias should stop selling high-sugar drinks
and soft drinks. In order to substantiate my central focal points, I will
provide specific reasons and explore the given topic in great detail in this
essay.
To begin with, I firmly believe that as long as school cafeterias provides soft drinks and high-sugar drinks,
students’ health will be getting worse. School cafeterias
are is responsible to be concerned about the students and their health.
Opponents of my perspective claim that it is the
students’ right to choose what they drink. Proponents of this view several
points as the rationales for their argument and their argument might have some
validity. But after closer look, there exists an abundance of examples that calling
call into question what they claim. Among such
examples, my personal experience can elucidate their incorrect viewpoint. One
of my cousins, he was crazy about drinking high-sugar drinks from the
time when he was elementary student. It was easy to see that he was drinking a
high-sugar drinks, because he always keep kept
them in his refrigerator. After he became an adult, he went to the hospital for the regular inspection.
Unsurprisingly, he got a diabetes and his doctor said he must manage his
daily menu. If school cafeterias keeps
selling such high-sugar drinks to the students, it is possible that this
kind of situation can happen to anyone. This validates my earlier contention
that school cafeterias should stop selling soft
drinks and high-sugar drinks, because it they can harm students’ health.
The account of mine that I illustrated above is not the only evidence to
support my view. A recent survey conducted by one of the leading educational
consulting firms in Korea endorsed my opinion when survey respondents were
asked whether they sided with the argument that schools
must stop selling high-sugar drinks and soft drinks to students or not. A
leading education expert claims claimed that
for the student, not drinking such drinks can actually help students’
study. The expert also asserts asserted that
the most important thing that students should consider is their study studies,
but if they have such drinks, then they might lose their concentration on their
studies. According to the a recent
research, one group of students have better concentration who do not drink
such drinks have better concentration, while another group of students have
very low concentration who have drunk a lot students
who did not consume such drinks have a higher chance of getting higher levels
of concentration than students who did.

In conclusion, in spite of the fact that there may be some opinions that school
cafeteria should guarantee students’ right to drink what they want, taking into
account of all the factors that I described above, we may reach to the
conclusion that school cafeterias should stop
selling soft drinks and high-sugar drinks to students.
