Some people might think that most advertisements help products to look even better than they really are. This is attributed to the fact that many advertisements exaggerate products' characteristics and that customers could cannot identify them before they purchase those products. However, I believe that actually not many advertisements help products to look even better than they really are for two reasons.
First of all, these days, customers do not easily believe what most advertisements say.claim. As there are a lot of advertisements around people's life, they realized through their experiences that they should not believe what advertisements literally say because almost all advertisements exaggerate their products. In addition, due to the advancement of technology, especially the internet Internet in modern days, it become became easy to find other people's comments opinions on about the product through the Internet internet communities and customers believe them, not the advertisements. So, sometimes too much exaggerated exaggerations on advertisements are revealed that actually to be something they are not, which can rather give have a negative effect on those products. For example, since I am interested in cosmetics, I enjoy to see seeing cosmetic products and their being involed in the online community. Almost all advertisements of cosmetics say that they the products last a long time and don't be washed will not wash away easily. However, after I used many of them and found that they were not true, I don't believe in those advertisements anymore because they always say the same good positive thing. For me, advertisements have an effect of making me give attention to their products, but they don't make products look even better than they really are.
Additionally, relatively many advertisement fail to give me a positive image because of the wrong advertisement method, moral issues that surround them, or problems of different values.(unclear. 더 자세히 써주세요.) Not all advertisement succeed to deliver positive and desired message they wanted to send. It is obvious that these days people are exposed to too many advertisements, so they have became particular about those advertisements. To be specific, products with too often advertised, containing morally wrong contents, or showing values that are too different from what overall society accepts are easy to give have negative impacst to on customers. Then, they cannot make products to look even better because customers already have negative image of those products. According to a private survey conducted by Seoul National university of Korea, most of surveyed respondents answered that they got positive images or good information from only about 40 percent of advertisements they are exposed to. For the other 70 percent of advertisements, they got negative images in for various reasons such as annoying advertisements and the abasement of women, prevalent within the advertisement.
In conclusion, actually not many advertisement help products to look even better than they really are. This is because customers do not easily believe easily what advertisements say and because relatively many advertisement fail to give positive image due to wrong method or moral and value issues.
