The reading and the lecture both talk about the cause of transient lunar
phenomena. The reading states that there are three plausible theories that
explain how happen these events.these events happened. However, the lecturer argues that these
theories given in the reading are not convincing.
First of all, the reading states
that clouds of lunar gas are one the ones causing TLPs. On the contrary, the lecturer argues
that this the statement is false. This is because it is almost a coincidence that TLPs
are observed near lunar craters. For example, there are many craters on the
moon and anyone know how much gas was being emitted in there.(문장 이해가 잘 안됩니다. 더 자세히 써주세요.)
Next, in the reading, the
author argues that TLPs occurs when dust clouds are lit up. In contrast, the
lecturer claims that the notion is erroneous. The reason for this is that dust
clouds should be very huge in order to be visible from earth.the Earth. But However, according to
Apollo astronauts who walked on the Moon, there they are almost free of fine dust particles.
Finally, the reading goes on
to explain that solar radiation triggers the TLPs. On the other hand, the
professor, in his lecture, asserts that the idea does not make sense. This is
because there are insufficient data. He goes on to say that the researchers compared
the time that between the occurance of solar flares and the TLPs occurred. They found any no correlation
between them.
