▶ Your Answer :Managing how students spend their time is
important because it shapes their lives. With this understanding, I believe
that when students are studying, listening to music or texting with friends has
a positive impact on learning for two essential reasons. This is because
engaging in other activities while students are studying enables students to relieve
stress and enjoy a better quality of life.
First, participating in other activities while students are studying
allows them to relieve stress. Understanding the importance of daily
environment of students and potential role of privacy activities is necessary
to substantiate this view. Every morning, once students are at school, they
have to endure countless textbooks and continue to read more even at home. Such
exhausting routine repeats itself and eventually wears down students. As a way
to manage this ensuing stress, they can spend time participating in their own
activities such as listening to music or texting with peers. Even if it is a
very short time, it frees their minds from intense mental pressure from school.
In this regard, I learned that participating in other activities while students
are studying motivates them to relieve stress.
Second, participating in
other activities while students are studying promotes them to enjoy a better
quality of life. Interestingly, a renowned social scientist in South Korea
published an article in “The Korean Herald” last Tuesday which claims that
spending time participating in their own activities such as listening to music
or texting with peers during studying encourages students to lead to greater
academic performance. The article claims that 62 percent of 200 Korean people
believe engaging in other activities when studying provides meaningful
opportunities for students to refresh themselves. Such refreshing builds a platform
not only to offer fresh perspectives but also to reorganize minds, allowing
students to concentrate their study and ultimately enjoy a better quality of
life.
To sum up, I believe that when students are studying, listening to
music or texting with friends has a positive impact on learning for the following
reasons: to relieve stress and to enjoy a better quality of life. Consequently,
the importance of my view cannot be underestimated for the reasons I mentioned
above.
