Both the reading passage and the lecturer discuss the behaviours behaviors of bononos bonobos
and chimpanzees. The lecturer, however, casts doubt on the reading passage's
claim that there are significant differences between the two species, by
presenting three counter-arguments.
First, the lecturer asserts that bonobos also show agreesive aggressive behaviours behaviors.
He states that studies
that focused on wild apes, instead of apes in captivity, indicates that wild bonobos
shake fists and throw objects at others that
approach their habitat. Also, He also mentions
that Bonobos throw sticks at each other and even fight. This refutes the
reading passage's claim that bonobos are
peaceful animals with unagressive behaviours passive
behaviors.
Second, the lecturer says that young bonobos are not attacked by
other members of the group as young bonobos they
are always protected by their parents. He argues that
young chimpanzees are more likely to be attacked and be killed as they
often stray from the group. If bonobos strayed from their group, they will also
be attacked by others. This counters the author's assertion that bonobos never
attack young bonobos of their group.
Lastly, the lecturer indicates that chimpanzees prefer eating fruits to
eating meat. However, due to human activity, the availabity availability of fruits has declined, forcing
chimpanzees to eat meat to survive. Bonobos would also hunt as chimpanzees if
they lack their food for survival. This refutes the author's claim that
chimpanzees are carnivorous but bonobos enjoy a vegetation
vegetarian diet.

두 입장을 잘 비교하셨어요.
부족하신 점은 작성자님이 아닌 lecturer의 의견들이니 'according to the lecturer / he argues that'
와 같은 표현들을 활용을 잘 안 하셨다는 점과, 문법 오류가 좀 많았어요. 또한 Bonobos가 고유 명사인지 아닌지 파악을 하시는 게
좋을 것 같습니다. |
