▶ Your Answer :
Some people think that the news media are
objective and unbiased. However, in my opinion, they can be often and easily biased and become unreliable. It is because they deliver facts to us with their own
effect, and they are not free from money and power.
To begin with, every media are means that is designed to deliver information. In the process that someone delivers somethings,
variations are made inevitably by the deliverer. So each media has different contents
about same events, and because of this reason we should have this makes people to not trust the news itself and have critical views to
the news delivered and don’t trust them entirely. For example, some press say “A attacked
B brutally.”, while others say “A respond to B with military force unavoidably.”
about the same event. (A와 B의 이야기가 아닌 구체적 사건을 들어 예시로 작성해주세요) To avoid confusion, many journalism experts recommend to watch
several different news media to know about events accurately. This prove that
there are a lot of variations which the news media create.
On top of that, press companies are also a form of organization that inevitably should seek profits. Therefore, they are adjusted by who has lots of money, just like any other companies. Major companies and politicians can be affected directly
press’s profits. So, if they put pressure on the media, the news which they
serve is compelled to be changed to the advantage of few groups. For instance, there are a
lot of cases which company limited the news that reveal the faults of several big companies.
Sometimes they are uncovered and get punished for fabricating the media, but
most are not discovered and not punished. (punishment가 본문의 내용에 크게 logic에 있어 helpful한 내용이라고 보기 어렵습니다) We can easily access to cases which
the news media conceal political issues with the coverage of celebrity’s
gossips. For these reasons, we should try to know more than the news media
serves. To sum up, the news media is never a fair
and unconditional media because information must be changed with delivering process, and press is affected by a lot of money and power. In this regard, I think
public should doubt the news media, not easily accepting what they provide.
