▶ Your Answer :
There are three theories about transient lunar phenomena(TLPs) as presented by the reading.
But as we learned in the lecture, we can't be sure that theories are clearly right. Now i'll
I’ll now talk about these
three theories and compare it with the lecture. (서론이 부실합니다.)
First theory is that transient lunar
phenomena appears because clouds of lunar gas beneath
the surface are expelled into the thin
lunar atmosphere. It means what we see is are clouds in the lunar atmosphere. The lecturer argues that gas has to be huge to be seen
at the from Earth. However because
there are small amount of gas and it can leak out, because
of the small amount of gas and that it can leak out, gas will not
cannot be the cause of TLPs.
In the second theory, the reading suggests that TLPs is are caused by dust which is floating above the
lunar landscape. Because light is reflected by the dust, at the end we can
see TLPs. But making look like TLPs, like gas of first theory, there
should be large amount of dust. However, similar to
the gas illustrated in the first theory, the amount of the dust has to be huge;
which isn’t the case. However there are no evidence that huge amount
of dust really exist.
Lastly, the reading argues that TLPs are caused by solar radiation,
because solar flares can illuminate portions of the Moon's surface, allowing it to be seen. it can be seen. And
they say The author adds that it is
usually seen in peak of the solar cycle. However it is not true. This
is not on the appropriate data. Also it comes out that TLPs
usually doesn't don’t match up with
solar radiation. (왜 맞지 않는지 추가적인 설명이 필요합니다)
As a result, it looks like that theories can explain the
TLPs. But not any theory can support the TLPs.
