Opinions might be divided over
whether people should find information from a wide range of resources to be
well-informed or not. People of various ages and from different walks of life
may take diverse positions on this topic. Personally, I agree with the statement
that the more source we make use of, the better we can find new information as
well.
To begin with, people utilize
many kinds of information sources because it is much more efficient than using
a single source of information. Some believe that the internet is the best
way to get information because there is an infinite number of information on
the internet. However, in order to get a high quality of information, we
should make use of other source as well because each source has their
own unique characteristics. For example, the internet, as I said above,
has a number of information and we could find the information so easily just by
clicking a mouse a few times and the information is poured out. However,
we cannot fully rely on the source of information because there are also many
incorrect information as well. On the other hand, we can obtain credible
information in a library. But, it takes so much time to find valuable
information at the place. So, to be efficient, we should make use of diverse
source of information. This clearly shows that we should find information using
a variety of source to be well-known.
On top of that, we need to use a
specific source of information well fitted at information we want to get. There
are many kinds of information such as events occurring in the world, historical
events, and so on. The best ways to get each information are different
from each other. So, we can gain new information very well through using a
source which is well adapted to the information. When I was a high school
student, for example, I was assigned a group project in history class. The
homework was to search about a historical figure, Soon-Sin Lee, who is one
of the most respectful person in Korea. At first, we decided to search the
information on the internet. However, the information we got on the internet
was not correct, so we had some difficulties to do the assignment. However, I
came up with a good idea to go to a commemorative museum for the
respectful figure in Seoul, and suggested that we should
go there. My group members accepted my suggestion and went to there. In
the museum, we could get a number of valuable information and finally, we got a
great score in the group project. If we had not found the information on the
museum, we could have not gotten such a great score in the project. The same
situation applies to those who want to find a good quality of information.
To sum up, not only does each source of information have a
unique characteristics, but we can also find valuable information by browsing a
well-fitting source of information. Therefore, we have to gain information from
diverse source of information to become a well-known person.
