▶ Your Answer :
There are some people who believe that
people cannot learn a lot more about a person by his friends. However, I
personally disagree with the above statement with the two subsequent reasons.
First, friends affect each other a lot. Second, friends share the same
interests.
Firstly, people are affected a lot from
their friends. This is because people share a lot of time with their friends,
and it leads to similar characteristics which shows the type of people. Let me
bring up my personal experience as an example. I have a group of friends who
became very close to me during my high school years. They were very active, and
I always hang out with them in the same classroom and even after school. In
fact, I was very timid, but after I met them, I became much more active and my
teacher remembers me as an active girl. If it hadn't been for my friends, I
could have been noticed as just a shy girl.
Moreover, the same interests are shared
among friends. In other words, people become friends each other when there are
some interests which are able to share, and it develops characteristics of
people. According to recent research done by the SHC Institute of sociology,
more than 80% of the groups of two respondents who shared same interests each
other for more than 20 years had the same type of personality. Also, they had many
characteristics which were matching each other, such as fashion styles, eating
habits, and so on. This clearly shows that sharing the same interests makes
friends similar.
In conclusion, people
can get information about a person from his friends since friends have a great effect on each other and share the same interests.
In this regard, I firmly believe that people can know much more about a person from
the type of friends that he has. |
