▶ Your Answer :
I think all university students should not
take basic science classes if they are not scheduling on going into the field
of science by the following reasons.
First,
if they have to take some courses which are not related to their major, they
could develop their major’s knowledge less than students who are not taking
courses that are not related to their major. These days, most good companies
prefer employees who have their major’s profound knowledge to other employees who have
their major’s shallow knowledge. For this, students who want to work in good companies
should take more courses that are relevant to their major. However, if they
could not do like this but take basic science course, they could have harm to have
taking courses which can develop their profound knowledge. Because, while they
have to have basic science course, their studying time which they can study
their major deeply can be deprived. By the article in the New York Times
newspaper, most universities have their students’ possibility to go to the good
companies lower due to magnify necessary basic courses even which are not
related to their major. For example, although one of my friends had very lots
of basic conceptions which are not relevant to his major, he failed to the
company which is the best field of his major. However, although another friend who
had fewer conceptions than precedent my friend could go to that company.
Because, she had much more deep major knowledge than earlier friend.
Second,
if they have to basic courses which are not relevant to their major, they could
not listen to the courses which they want to take. Most universities limit
courses while students go to the university. During students, they are assigned
to necessary major or elective credit which they have to get. For this, they do
not have enough time to take the classes which they want to take. If the
university fixes the courses like basic science which is not relevant to students’
major, they have to give up the courses they want to take or have to pay more
money to take them. By the survey in the Korea Herald newspaper, 80 percent of
Koreans have ever been giving up the courses even though they want to take them.
Because they have not enough money or time to take them as taking courses which
university let the students take them, even they are not relevant to their
major.
In
conclusion, students have to have right to have better future which means they
can go to the better companies and freedom that means students can take courses
they want to take and students’ better future which means they can go to the
better companies. Therefore, I think all university students should not take entry
science classes if they are not scheduling on going into the field of science.
