▶ Your Answer : Some people might say that it is not necessary to listen to other's opinions. However, in my opinion, taking criticism from others is important to succeed in a group project. There are two reasons. First, something can be learned from criticism from others. Second, you can prevent the conflicts among the group members. To begin with, you might feel bad when you get negative feedbacks. But these feedbacks let you learn things that you did not know about. For example, a survey was conducted by a group of education majors with 200 students as respondents. The purpose of the survey was to understand their thoughts about taking criticism from others. The majority of respondets replied that even though right after they got criticism, they felt so bad and frustrating, this criticism actually helpd them improve social and academic abilities. They also added that through listening to others, they found out their drawbacks that they had not know before. This survey proves that taking criticism is crucial in that people can fix their shortages. On top of that, there are billions of people living in different cities and countries around the world. They all have different personalities experiences and points of views. So conflicts are always exist where many people gather . In this complex world, taking criticism is crucial for everyone. For example, I will talk about myself and my friend to elucidate my point. When it comes to criticism, I just accept all the negative things about me and struggle to fix them. On the contrary, my friend always complaint and ignore it when she got criticism from others. She does not even tries to change it in good ways. When our class needs to form groups in classes in order to do an assignment, other classmates do not want to be a member of the group where my friend belongs to because there is always a quarrel with the members. To sum up, accepting negative feedbacks is actually beneficial for everyone themselves. Also, there might be less likely to have a conflict with one another. In this regard, I firmly believe that people should be able to take criticism from other members in order to succeed in a group project. |
