:Some people believe that a school should spend money on improving cafeteria foods. Other people believe that a school should spend money on social activities for students after school. What is your opinion and why?
Various opinions might exist over the argument whether a school should spend money on improving cafeteria foods or on social activities for students after school. As far as I am in concern, I believe that school has to spend their money on social activities for students after school. Two reasons stated below can be valid evidence to support my view.
Above all, student can improve their social skills by enjoying social activities more effectively. In modern society, it is essential for students to learn how to maintain strong relationships and cope well with others. Therefore, given the need for collaboration in any places today, it is vital for students to join social activities and interact with a lot of schoolmates and have precious time to cope together in a group in building a more promising future. Moreover, it is obvious that cafeteria cannot give these important opportunities to students but offer some quality food. As a result, there is no doubt that a school needs to spend their money on social programs for their students.
Moreover, social activities for students after school such as music, writing or cooking enables students to learn more and cultivated potentials. Students nowadays can easily miss chances to delve into numerous issues for self-improvement since the society is highly competitive. In this sense, taking a good after school activities with diverse options such as music, writing, debate, or cooking can be perfect chances in honing potentials and discover their aptitudes that could have been overlooked. Thus, it is more beneficial for a school to use their funds on social activities than on improving cafeteria foods. According to a private survey conducted by Seoul National University of Korea, an anonymous surveyed respondent answered that he was highly influenced by the after school activity 'CC: Coding Club'. He mentioned that if it had not been for the 'Coding Club', he might not have known what to do in his career and might have wasted a lot of time.
To sum up, I believe that a school should invest their money on social activities rather than on improving cafeteria since it is more beneficial for student's future. Thus, the significance of my view cannot be underestimated for the reasons I have mentioned above.
