Some people think that the elderly need
exercise more than young people do. However, in my opinion, the elderly do not
need exercise more than the youngers. This is because of two reasons. The
elderly can hurt by too much exercises and it is more important that young
people exercise.
To begin with, there is a possibility of hurt
when the elderly exercise. Because the older people are weaker than youngers, the
risk of hurt will always be there, especially with tough activities. For
example, one of my friend’s grandfather whose age is seventy enjoyed riding a
bicycle. Then, one day when he was riding his bicycle, he fell and hurt a lot. In addition, he was too old to heal injury fastly.
On top of that, young people need to
exercise more than the elders do. The reason is that a person who exercised a
lot when he was young would be healthy in the future. Many studies have founded
that it is good for physical ability to exercise continuously from younger age.
Actually, my brother was born with weak body, but when he was in elementary
school, he played soccer, basketball and so on. Then he could have great
physical condition now.
To sum up, when the elderly exercise
excessively, it will not help them healthy but hurt them. Furthermore, it is better
to exercise more at young age than do so much activities when you are aged.
In this regard, I strongly believe that the
elderly do not need exercise more than young people do.
