▶ Your Answer : It is debatable whether the elderly need exercise more than young people do. However, in my opinion, it is very beneficial for the elderly to exercise more often because they need to be more healthy than now and they actually do not move in everyday. To begin with, I think that it is necessary for the elderly to exercise, since they are usually sick and weak. They are definitely weaker than young people and are likely to get ailments or plague. The elderly have difficulty dealing with diseases as well. For example. my mother are recommended by a doctor to exercies everyday. Since she had high blood pressure, she must work out everyday at least an hour. Additionally she had complex about her body and always concerned about her weight. She was so stressful because of these problems. It led to her mental problems and made her more sick. She decided to exercise five times a week and she became a healthy woman in my family and she was satisfied with her body and health. On top of that, I think that the elderly might move less than younger people. Most elder people are not active due to their complicated matters. They do not have enough body force to do something, because they already have consumed their energy. Therefore, they do not have enough time and energy to exercise for their health. However, health is very important for all people including the ederly. Studies have found that 80 percent of elder people do not work out on week and only 30 percent of young people do not work out. This result shows that how many elder people do not move and it is very serious problems in present society. To sum up, exercising is very essential for elder people to maintain their health good and keep them moving actively. In this regard, I strongly agree with the statement that the elderly have to make an effort in exercising for their health.
