▶ Your Answer : Some people think that it is quite necessary for university to spend money on sports as much as they do on libraries, while others do not. Both sides may have their own reasons to support the standpoints. If I were asked to choose one, I would say that it could be positive for university to pay more attention and invest to sports activities as much as they care about the facilities of educations such as libraries. There are several reasons and examples as follows. First and foremost, it is of great importance for university students to spend some time outside among their sedentary classes. Since, mostly all of the classes no matter what major you have, unless the major does not require phsical activities, there is little chance for students to participate in sports. For example, I usually took lecture classes conducted in tiny rooms for my whole semester, and somehow that made me exhausted because I had to seat and just watch the professors during the classes by and large. Furthermore, it was not good for my health and I think that I gained more weight when I was an university student than my high school years, when I could easily attend on P.E. classes. On top of that, I also think that sports brings vigors to university as well. For instance, it is not just students that can get benefit from sports activites. There are a variety of people who engaged in universities, varing from cafeterians, officers, professors, and other people who visit universities for different reasons. As universities are now become not only just a existing campus but also the center of the cultural activities, university sports teams can differentiate the univerity from other universities that do not retain them. To sum up, I stronly believe that the advantages of spending money on outside sports far outweigh those of libraries for the reasons I have mentioned above. In this regard, I think that being able to participate in sports anytime the students want can be one of the most benefits that university can give to their students, as well as all of the related employees. |
