▶ Your Answer :
Nowadays,
going to the college or university is the universal trend for students graduated
from high schools. Various opinions may exist over the reason why people attend
college or university. But as far as I am concerned, people go to the
university to acquire an outcompeting advantage in a job market and improve
social skills.
First and foremost, people should go to the
college or university so that they could acquire outcompeting advantage over
other candidates in a job market. Nowadays, people face fierce competitions in
a job market since there are too many candidates with not so many jobs available.
Consequently, it has become extremely difficult to find suitable and rewarding
jobs. Thus, in order to become desirable job applicants and find success in their
future career, they should become competent by learning as much as they can,
including going to the college or university and learn much useful knowledge or
skills. According to a private survey conducted by Seoul National University of
Korea, an anonymous surveyed respondent answered that he was strongly
influenced by going to the college and university. He also responded that if it
had not been for going to the college and acquiring professional skills and
knowledge there, he might not have learned how to make himself a more
outstanding and useful person compared to others.
In addition, going to the college and
university and meeting many students and professors there shows outstanding
effectiveness in improving social skills. Unlike the past, modern society
admittedly requires people to surpass others both in specialty and sociability.
To be more specific, interpersonal relationships and social skills are
necessary requirements for any successful person. Therefore, given the need for
collaboration in any places today, going to the college and university and
meeting students and professors from different cultures is clearly more vital
in building a more promising future because it provides people with the perfect
opportunities to learn to deal with diverse kinds of people and form emotional
bonds with them. Research conducted by a renowned professor named
Sam Adams from Michigan University indicates that people who frequently
interact with people from different backgrounds attain the goal of learning how
to manage interpersonal relationships in a much more effectual way, whereas
having the same accomplishments is somewhat difficult for people who do not
encounter various types of people. Likewise, his statement proves that my
argument in the benefit of going to the college or university is convincing.
To sum up, I believe my explanations
above sufficiently prove the reasons for students to go to the college or
university. Obviously, the significance of acquiring an outcompeting advantage over
other candidates in a job market and improving social skills cannot be
overemphasized enough.
