▶ Your Answer :
Some people say that we can learn more by reading books than watching
TV. However, I certain that people can learn more by watching TV than by
reading books. There are two reasons why I feel this way. One reason is that people
learn more detailed information by visual effect. Another reason is that people
can get more information by auditory effect.
First of all, people can have more
specific information by visual effect. This is because watching TV offers us a
lot of videos, but people cannot find visual information through reading books.
To be specific, people who want to learn about playing golf would find the
videos how to swing or how to heat a ball. By watch them, they can get more
information about motions or positions. Plus, people can imitate motions or
positions with detailed visual information. Therefore, it is safe to say that
watching TV is more effective ways to learn something.
Secondly, people can gain more
information by auditory effect. People could not hear by reading books because
the books offer only letters which can read. For example, when I was high
school student, I would like to play violin. I read a book included how to play
violin and how to fix sounds of violin, but I could not fully understand without
auditory information. After watching TV about playing violin, I could totally understand
to play the violin with its auditory offering. Therefore, it is possible to say
that watching TV gives more information about what people want to learn.
In conclusion, not only people can
get more certain information by visual effect but also they would gain more
information by auditory effect, I strongly agree with the statement that people
can learn more by reading books than watching TV.
