Butluck and working hard is also related really. How are they connected?
To begin with, we cannot succeed in a day. There is a proverb, “Rome was not built in a day.” Like this proverb, in order to succeed, we need a great deal of effort. Rome was the strongest and best developed city historically. But, Rome started out as asmall city and then was built up more and more. We need patience and effort.
Additionally, people who suddenly gain a good fortune don’tusually manage it well. For example, researchers study people who win the lottery. They investigated how they act when they become rich. After they get the money, most people didn’t know how to use that money. Finally, they lose their money by startingto gamble or being swindled. By contrast, successful people know how to save and spend their money. In failure and frustration, they learn how to earn money and spend it.
All in all, at least in developed countries, education is one of thevery important components of success. It means that people who study regularly and in the long-term are likely to succeed. In thecurrent times, we need knowledge, special skills, and leadership in order to succeed. We obtain it through education, not luck.
In summary, we need to work hard in order to succeed. We should not wish for good fortune, but always try to work hard in our position so we can live a successful life. |
