▶ Your Answer : In school, students got a lot of homework. Some people say that teachers should give students homework every day. However, I disagree with this statement because it conflict with students' other pursuits and it doesn't mean higher academic performance.
First of all, homework conflict with students' other pursuits. It is important to give students time outside of school for other things. For example, my cousin who is member of soccer club had to quit soccer club. This is because playing soccer makes him too tired to do homework every day. His math teacher give students much homework, but after playing soccer he can't do homework. So, he usually punished from teacher. For this reason, he decided to quit soccer club.
Secondly, homework doesn't mean higher academic performance. It is hard to justify based on academic goals. For instance, according to study, they research two schools. One is without homework every day, and another is with every day homework. As a result, ones without homework every day scored higher.
To sum up, giving everyday homework is not good to students because it conflict with students' other activities and it doesn't mean higher academic performance. So I disagree with this statement that teachers should give students homework every day. |
