▶ Your Answer :
I prefer spending
time with one or two close friends to with a large group of friends. As time is
limited, it would be easier to concern about smaller number of friends at once.
And it might be rather stressful to stay with too many friends for some people
who don’t like crowded places.
To begin with,
the time that we can spend with friends is not infinite. In most cases, we can
have only a few hours of lunch or dinner time for hanging out. When we meet one
or two friends at once, we can interact with them more deeply. Not only the
superficial topics like weather, but more profound topics about the individuals
could be discussed. Thus we can be friendlier with them. Moreover, even if we meet
a big group of people at once, we happen to make a subgroup with just a few of
them.
For the second
reason, it can be a kind of pressure for some people to stay with too many
people, even if they are all friends. As there would be a variety of kinds of
people, there could be some conflicts between them. This might make people feel
worse, while interaction with friends is mainly for recreation. Additionally,
although the mood could be more like a party with a large group of friends, it
would be even lonelier to become alone after the meeting. And typically, those
people feel better and more convinced when they interact with a small number of
friends.
In conclusion, it’s a problem of choice between a deep
relation with a few friends and slighter relation with a large number of
friends. Given limited amount of time, interacting with just a few friends
would allow us to know about them deeper. Moreover, some intrinsic people might
be stressed out with many people altogether. Spending time with a small number
of close friends would be more helpful, not just for those who are intrinsic
but all. |
