▶ Your Answer : The fewer possessions you have, the happier you will be. There has been an argument regarding the issue of whether the fewer possessions people have, the happier they will be. Some people think that they feel happy when they have lots of things. However, in my opinion, it is not important for us to have many items. In this essay, I will present two reasons to support my idea. First of all, people need to be satisfaction. To be more specific, if we do not gratify our possessions, our greedy would be limitless. For example, I and my younger brother were given two gloves in last Christmas. We were enjoyable to play catch ball. After few days later, we wanted to have bat and ball, and asked them to our parents. In addition having them, we wanted to helmets and uniforms. This reflect, since we did not satisfy what we have, our wishes got bigger and bigger. On top of that, the quality of possessions outweigh a number of them. In detail, we should consider purpose and convenience of things. A survey conducted psychology lab in Korea University has shown that people tend to neglect the figures what they have. To illustrate, a researcher gave ten kinds of popular pants to 100 people, and let them put on what they preferred for a week. Surprisingly, 70% of them dressed just specific pants during a week, because the pants are comfortable and suitable to wear. Furthermore, they realized that they did not hesitant to what they put on. In this regard, quality is more crucial than possession’s numbers. In a nutshell, the fewer we have, we tend to be happy. This is because satisfaction and quality is more priority factors to people. As we can see, let’s have something less. |
