Both the reading passage and the lecture deals with construction of the pyramid in Egypt. Whereas the reading passage asserts that the pyramid is made of concrete, the lecturer disagrees with this theory because of several flaws of the argument.
To start with, the reading passage argues that the Egyptians possessed highly elaborated molding skills, which enabled molding concrete blocks. The reading passage contends that since the Egyptians were able to produce elaborated vases, they certainly could have molded simple rectangular stones to build pyramids. However, the lecturer points out that the vases were made by putting two pieces together into to form one piece, casting doubt on the Egyptian's molding skill.
Secondly, the reading passage points out that the bubbles on the boulders' surface indicates the fact that blocks were molded. However, the lecturer counters this theory by asserting that the bubbles were formed during the restoration process, indicating that the bubbles are nascent.
Lastly, the reading passage tells that moistures within the stones and the interior of the pyramids shows that blocks were molded. However, the lecturer contradicts this opinion, arguing that the moistures were the result of the influxes of the tourists. Because when tourists exhale, overall moisture rate in the pyramid increases.
