▶ Your Answer : The different viewpoint on how to educate students has been a lingering question for all nations. Some argue that setting a fixed curriculum covering various subjects for all the students is more effective than adopting different curriculum for each one. However, in my opinion, opposite is right because each student has their own unique talent which cannot be same with others, and teaching the same curriculum lacks room for creativity. As mentioned above, teaching the same curriculum for every highschooler is ridicule due to their unique talent of each and everyone. Some students might have artistic potential and others might be math prodigy. These two types of students cannot be taught in the same way. That is, a person who has better potential in art field would be better educated with classes of extended and deeper understanding of drawing or design, and math genius would be much more suited with classes with numbers and calculations. In this way, they can pursuit what they want to achieve in the future more effectively and successfully. Another equally important reason is that teaching the same material to all the students discards the chance of creativity. Set out curriculum means all the study material is fixed-prepared for the students to be acquired. Thus, all students have to do is to memorize what they are taught. The tests will be given to measure students’ understanding of limited coverage of that study only. Therefore, there is not much room for the learners to perform their intellectual mind. To wrap it up, all the students studying the same curriculum in high school is ineffective educational structure. Rather, government entity relevant to the education system should come up with better way to stimulate creativity and new ideas among endeavors and expand the room for them to play during the learning process. |
