A large number of people might argue that employees who are good at listening to the direction of their managers are more helpful than who find a new ways of dealing with tasks themselves. Contrary to popular belief, I think that workers who find a better way of handling tasks alone are more valuable and positively affect themselves for the reasons: Develop a sense of responsibility and career success.
First of all, finding a better way to complete tasks will enable people to improve a sense of responsibility. This is because finding ways themselves require many obligations such as managing their schedule wisely, abiding rules, and cooperating with others. Through the consequences that arise from negligent actions, they learn the importance of obligation. For example, my youngest brother used to be lazy and selfish. However, he has changed little by little after he started to work at a fast-food restaurant. He realized that his laziness could negatively affect everyone by delaying to every step to provide good service for customers. Naturally, he became more punctual, played his part well and even encouraged other people who seemed to be goofing around. That way, he had good impact on the restaurant.
Second, when workers find a new way of complete tasks, it allows them to success in career. This is attributed to the fact that carrying out their tasks diligently will develop their expertise. Moreover, as modern society is becoming increasingly specialized and competitive, Today’s job markets require job candidates with such qualities. According to the Ministry of Labor of Korea in 2010, the employee interview was the most important components in hiring practice, taking up more than 70 percent of the final call. The interviewers looked at the applicant’s skills and knowledge, mostly related to specialty. This implies that specialization from coping with their tasks alone will be a secure way for them to prepare for the future.
In brief, although employees who get help from their manager have effect on their company, the benefit of people who find a way to perform tasks far outweigh than that of people who be helped for the reasons I have mentioned above.
All in all, the importance of self-solving skills cannot be underestimated in success in life. |
