▶ Your Answer :
There has been heated debate over the issue of whether improving schools
is the best way to advance a country. While there are many good arguments for
both positions, the following discussion will explain in detail why I agree.
My
first argument for schools' influence to advance a country should be espoused.
This is because, unlike other important ways, the schools play critical roles
in developing students' untapped talents. Modern-day students live hectic lives
because today's globalized society is increasingly competitive and constantly
changing. As a result, it is difficult for students to discover their personal
interests and pursue the fields of study that they prefer. This makes it
crucial for schools to help students to develop their talents and tap into
their full potential, which makes them valuable citizens for advancing a
country. Therefore, schools' influence cannot be overlooked to advance a
country in this context. According to a group of education experts at Columbia
University, students who are under the close schools' education environment
decide on their future careers and develop their potential faster than students
who are not. The majority of education experts argued that students would not
be necessary citizens for advancing a country when they do not fully receive
the advice and help of the schools, especially when they are in their
developing stages.
Moreover, my strong support for schools' influence can be rationalized.
This is attributed to the fact that schools, with their years of education
roles, can offer lessons on morality and ethics, which enables students to be
good citizens for a country thriving. Students who are still mentally immature
have long way to go before they become grown-ups. During this long journey,
they tend to make many mistakes and are prone to misbehave. However, students can
be guided by the schools, which can teach them about etiquette and social norms
and can thus become good models for advancing a country. In this respect, the
schools exert good influence on students. For example, growing students may
give in to the temptation of using drugs because they are too young to judge
right from wrong. This is why schools' involvement is an urgent need. With
schools' guidance, students can learn about how to avoid such temptations and
become law-abiding citizens, by listening descriptions of their teachers' own
experiences in the schools. Through such lessons, students can become holistic
beings who help countries be advancing.
In
a nut shell, my discussion above presents two stronger arguments for schools'
influence which I believe effectively convince the reader. |
