▶ Your Answer :
Some people might argue that deserving high salaries for
famous stars is certainly unfair. However, to be frank, I cannot agree with
them. There are two reasons why I hold no confidence on them. First, high
salaries are kinds of a compensation for their efforts to be an expert in their
field. In addition, another reason is that these famous people have an
invisible power to mass such as confidence therefore employers have to pay
more.
To
begin with, the main supporting idea is that famous athletes and entertainers
invest their considerable time and money to get current status. For instance,
one of the famous comedians in Korea is well-known of consuming past 10 years
as an assistant. Before being famous, He always did his best for his dream even
he got such a small salary for living. Another example is that a famous soccer
player, Lionel Messi had spent lots of his young years with practicing soccer
in the field. It could be inferred that the multimillion-dollar salaries are
like a reward for their efforts and hardship.
Last
but not least, famous people have a hidden power to crowd. Therefore, of
course, employers should pay much more for them because of it. For example,
Michael Jordan was a advertising model of NIKE for a long time. Most of
basketball fans have bought NIKE because their legendary star gives a strong
value of confident for them. In short, famous stars are worth getting high
salaries. In addition, there is a research conducted by several psychologists
shows that people tend to remember the product easily when a famous announcer
mentions its name.
To
conclude, paying high salaries for the famous people is impartial when
considering their hard effort to be an expert and their appealing power for
mass. Therefore, I strongly agree with the statement. In a modern society,
salaries could be differed by abilities of each individual. Indeed, it is
probably not much of an exaggeration to state that some famous people earn lots
of money like a big company. |
