Undoubtedly, technology plays a key role in people's lives in many of the places they live or work. Some people think that technology helped children have creativity. However, in my opinion, I think that technology has made children less creative for the following two subsequent reasons.
To begin with, technology is too convenient although there is no people's idea. Technology has reduced children's chance to think about solutions when they need to come up with their answers such as solving math and writing reports. The decreased chances have made children be afraid of trying processes to solve their dilemma by themselves. In my case, when I was in middle school, I often used a calculator for my math assignments due to its convenience. As time passed, I had difficulties solving math without calculators. It meant that relying on technology made me lose the power to deal with problems that can develop my creativity.
On top of that, people usually used their hands in the past. Undeveloped technology was not reliable. So people had to deal with their dilemma by using their brain and hands. Also, using their brain and hands stimulated them be used to devising creative solutions such as how to repair machines only with their organized idea. To give an anecdote, In the world that my grandfather lived, calculators and machines were so rare. So he always had to study math without his calculator and work at a factory that produced clothes without developed machines. He and his co-workers always had to come up with how to solve problems such as malfunction that happened in the factory. So he still repairs broken items by himself.
In brief, technology doesn't need people's effort to make ideas. Also, young people today do not use their hands and brain compared to the past. All in all, I firmly believe that children today are less clever due to technology.
