▶ Your Answer : An intriguing topic of discussion at hand is whether technology designed to make people’s lives easier and simpler actually has made people’s lives more complicated. The answer to this question can vary greatly, depending on individual perspectives. Thus, the jury may still be out, but as far as I am concerned I agree with the statement. In this essay, I will present two reasons supporting my standpoint as follows. To begin with, with the advanced technology, after developing of technology, people can have a more majority of opportunity opportunities to meet diverse other people in the world by using computers or smart phones. However, if they do not have these machines, their friends will be possible to disappear from cyber spaces. Today, many lots of human relationships are based on is consist of social network like Ffacebook or Ttwitter, and it is very convenient for people and makes their life more easier and simpler but it might be able to have a certain may arise downside, such as some people will be felt difficult about making off-line friends. For example, my friends and I always keep in contact through text message. In fact, we send text message to each other numerous times every day. I simply cannot imagine how I could socialize with others without facebook or twitter. In other words, It is too extreme to say that social network could easily leads to off-line social isolation in today’s electronic world. On the top of that, when some people work in company, technology award heavy burden to employees than ever before. This is because technology create their work more detail and complex. In this sense, personal charge will be too much to do, they would not have to spend free time with their loved ones like family and friends. In other words, technology seems to provide simpler work but acrually it’s not simple but complex, and even more deprive family time of workers. For instance, in the movie “The Devil Wears Prada” the character Miranda Presley was a very successful business woman who get a benefits from of technology, yet a total workaholic infamous for her dictatorship in the office. Although she had a high reputation for her competence in the business world, she divorced multiple times and practically lived a lonely life. In fact, her family time often disturbed by her detailed business work which has to use computers. In other words, all the money she was earning from her spectacular duties did not make her a truly happy woman. In conclusion, I strongly agree with the statement that by advancing technology, people can gain a more convenient life but their routine life more complicated for the reasons I mentioned above. Once again, although the verdict may still be out, I personally believe that two of my rationales above are sufficiently convincing enough to represent the viewpoints of a majority people who are in favor of my claim. |
