▶ Your Answer : In today's fast-paced society, it is believed that people should be absorbed in knowing a specific subject to be a specialist in the area. Some people advocate that it is a waste of time studying many different classes in college for that reason. However, I disagree with this view. I firmly believe that experiencing various subjects is very helpful. This is because first, taking different courses in university can expand perspective and second, studying through the way is to gain authentic knowledge. First of all, learning from a host of fields can stretch my view toward the world.It is because I can meet many different people from other majors and work with them sharing manifold ideas. That is, it make me expend my eyes for the world. Also, through the experiences, I can understand and generous for other things different from me. Consequently, it can provide a chance for me to enhance creativity and make a breakthrough in my area. For example, when I took a course whose title was 'the presentation in English' and was irrelevant to my biology major, I met many people who are proficient for speaking in English. In the end, the attending in the subject made me take adventure to an exchange student. Hence, it is appropriate to say that it can present excellent chance to expand perspective for a life. On top of that, studying diverse classes which seems to irrelevant to each other can allow to achieve genuine scholarship. In other words, different subjects are not actually distinct. They are just divided into several groups because humans needed the means to understand myriad principles of world in concrete and obviously. That is, many subjects are related to each other from philosophy to science. In fact, many modern physicist connected the conception of physics to that of philosophy and it resulted in a breakthrough in the sphere like the Principle of Uncertainty and the Relativeness Principle. Also, it can also allow other subjects to be combined properly. For example, if a food biological scientist learn a geology course, he can utilize the knowledge to inventing new plants which can adapt to desolate soil and it can lead to a solution of famine in developing countries. Thus, taking many different courses is very beneficial. In conclusion, it is my belief that taking a lot of subjects can be very useful in life. It is because first, the chance can give new experiences to broaden views and also it is a way to understand knowledge in detail. Therefore, if we study varied subjects, both the world and human will be more thrive than this present. |
