A university life starts from making a decision of
where to live during school years. Some students may choose to live in
university dormitories; others may choose to live in apartments in the
community. Both ways of housing will provide a number of important and
different experiences for (to) students. In this essay, I am going to compare
the benefits between (of) dormitories and apartments.
On the one hand, enjoying a private life is one
of the most important advantages when
(of) residing in an apartment. Unlike dormitories,
students can have more private spaces and time, and less
(fewer) concerns about annoying matters like being (that)
disturbed(s). Another huge benefit is that
apartments are generally quieter and better for concentrating on studying than
in a dormitory room. A final point that comes with (‘a
point that comes with’ sounds unnatural) an apartment life is to have a
private kitchen, which allows you to enjoy your favorite cooking.
On the other hand, a dormitory life offers many
advantages (as well). Most of all, location is
an appealing factor. A dormitory is
located within campus; therefore, students do not need to drive their own cars
or take a shuttle bus to get to school. With the convenient distance, students
can save expenses on transportation and time on
(for) commuting to school. In addition to the
easy access and the saved time and money, living in a campus housing provides a
greater opportunity to mingle with classmates. On campus housing (there) are many parties and various kinds of social
events held on a regular basis.
In conclusion, there are many different benefits of
living between in dormitories and
apartments. Given all the factors aforementioned, it seems to me that living in
a dormitory room is more attractive than (living in)
an apartment life, mostly because I
would like to save money and time from
(for) coming and going to school and spend them
on my studying.
