▶ Your Answer A
common misconception is that the purpose of televisions is for education, not
for entertainment. However, people have been using television for entertainment
since it was invented. In a same token, television cannot be an educational
object because of its versatility.
First
of all, television has many functions to play, hence distracting people from
studying. To be specific, as previously mentioned, the machine has been used
for watching movie, drama, or show, so there are more functions that can entertain
people. Therefore, people probably get interrupted just by intentionally or
unintentionally clicking a button that changes channels on the remote control,
thus it is not possible television can be used for education. On the contrary,
unlike the machine, book does not have any things that stop their
concentration. For example, one day, I happened to take a course with the
machine in my home somehow. However, I mistakenly stepped the remote control,
and video I was watching suddenly shifted to the sport channel. It was a
channel that I was interesting on. Consequently, I could even watch the class
video three minutes. Had it not been for television, I would not retake this
course again.
Granted,
some people might think the purpose of television is for giving many
educational programs. Nevertheless, it is for entertainment, owing to
versatility, interrupting from learning. |
